The foreign object in your mouth will send signals to your brain, producing more saliva, adjusting to talking with them again, and possibly causing some discomfort. While some people don’t have issues with their new appliance, any problems that arise while adjusting to your new set can be resolved with a denture adjustment to ease discomfort.
What Is An Adjustment?

Don’t be afraid to book an appointment for a denture adjustment, during this appointment we will ease the sore spot with a handpiece little by little until discomfort eases up.

Cast Partials
- Clasp
Metal clasps on Cast Partials securely rest on the tooth, keeping the denture in place. From time to this clasp may feel loose. If this occurs book an appointment with your denture clinic and have it adjusted back into place. Leave this up to the professionals because if this clasp breaks off the retention will dwindle.
- Acrylic
Adjusting the acrylic portion of the cast partial is the same as full dentures. Easing the problem area with a handpiece.
