Canyon Meadows Retirement Residences – Wellness Fair
We really enjoy going to the various retirement homes for wellness fairs. It gives us a chance to meet people in their own space. Going to any sort of dental clinic can make people feel uneasy, so having a chance to meet patients outside of the clinic is a great way to connect.
Wellness Fair
Recently, Sonja – the Engaged Life Coordinator at Canyon Meadows Retirement Residence – invited us to be a vendor at their wellness fair. It was an array of local businesses getting together and showcasing what they have to offer Calgarians.
We were talking to some of these vendors about what they had to offer. One rep we met was from Sonder Care, who offer adjustable beds. Now, adjustable beds are usually in a class with hospital beds and categorized as being unstylish and uncomfortable. However, Sonder Care completely changed that view of adjustable beds for me. I was able to take it for a spin and it far exceeded my expectations. I tried every position from sitting to tilted backward. It also goes pretty high, so if a caregiver needed to bathe a psychically-unable person, they could do so with ease.
There was also Respiratory Homecare Solutions, who provide home oxygen therapy, sleep apnea testing, and treatments among other services. They also offer a free home sleep apnea test, along with Respiratory Homecare Solutions (RHS) design and integrate custom programs for the best results.
It was really nice to get to know some other businesses in and around Calgary and we will look forward to the next one. Thanks to Sonja and everyone involved in making this day happen. We were delighted to give out some denture brushes and boxes to people who will get good use out of them. And we are proud to call Calgary home.
